美国留学打工的限制
出国留学，学费和生活成本都挺高，如果经济条件不是很好，可以考虑做一份兼职。当然，无论缺不缺钱花，做一份兼职也能够长知识，拓宽视野。但是，在美国的留学生，找一份兼职可不容易，单从政策上看，就有很多限制：
F1 visa holders cannot accept off-campus employmentat anytime during the first year of their studies. Undercertain circumstances， the U.S. Citizenship &； ImmigrationService (USCIS) may grant permission to accept off-campusemployment after one year of study. F-1 students may accepton campus employment in your university without seekingprior permission from USCIS.
M1 students cannot accept employment except for thepurpose of temporary practical training.
The spouse and children (F2/M2/J2) of student may notaccept employment at any time.
Exchange visitors (J1) may not accept paid employmentin the U.S. other than that which is an integral part of theirprogram.
持有F1签证的留学生，第一学年无论何时都不能在校外兼职工作。某种情况下，美国移民局允许F1签证留学生第一学年之后，校外兼职工作。持有F1签证的留学生，可以不经过美国移民局，在大学校内兼职工作。
持有M1签证的留学生不能在美国工作，除了特定短期的技能训练以外。
F2签证、M2签证、J2签证留学生的配偶或子女陪读的，任何时候都不能在美国工作。
交流访问者（J1）不允许在美国工作，除非该工作是访问项目的一部分。
Two types of on campus employment are allowed withoutexplicit USCIS authorization. The students should maintaintheir status of F-1/J-1 by taking a full-time course load.
While school is in regular session the student cannot workmore than 20 hours per week， although during extendedholidays， breaks and summer sessions， the student may workfull time (up to 40 hours per week). The student can work fora commercial firm that contracts with the school to provideservices， such as a bookstore or cafeteria.
Under no circumstance， a student can work for more than20 hours/week during a regular session. Otherwise， it willlead to problems involving reinstatement of student status todeportation.
两种类型签证可以不经过美国移民局在校园兼职。它们是F-1签证和J-1签证，但是必须保证在有效期内并且选修全日制课程。
学期期间，兼职学生工作时间每周不超过20小时，假期、休息日和暑假可以全天兼职（每周工作时间不超过40小时）。学生可以在与学校有合同关系的商业机构兼职，如书店，自助餐厅等。
在任何情况下，留学生工作时间不允许超过20小时/周，否则将受到驱逐出境的处罚。

大学生做义工，可以增长见识，丰富经验，学习实用的技能，为将来工作增加砝码。国外大学生一般都做过社区义工。
