White Horse Carrying Sutra, a Ming Dynasty(1368.1644) hanging scroll by Ding Yunpeng, ink and color on paper, 130.9cm× 54.5cm, in the collection of the Palace Museum, Taipei.
Ding Yunpeng(1547.1628), styling himself Nanyu, was a court painter and poet in the Ming Dynasty. He was good at drawing characters, Buddhist and Taoist statues. Based on a Buddhist story, this work has simple and bright colors, fine and delicate brushwork.
